I have to say, I'm not that into art. I mean, I appreciate art, but I've never really been educated on art history, other than the mainstream big names. I didn't actually every take an art class in high school. I always got my electives from band, which included my art and athletic credits. I'm not in any way wanting to go back to my high school days, but if I had to, I'd definitely try and expand my horizons more, including taking some art classes or theater, even if helping with stage design. I definitely sold myself short, knowing who I am now, but can't change that now.
From the art that I've looked at, just in general, I guess I'm more of a fan of abstract. I like things that are very geometrical, and clean looking. I guess I've always been a sucker for things that make me think of the future, and that is the art that I seem to enjoy, like architecture. I used to enjoy playing the Sims games for that reason. I loved to make a layout for a house, like I was building my own.
I do appreciate art, as I think most people should. Art, of course, comes in many forms, but my mind went straight to paintings or drawings. Some people think your life is a work of art. I'm not quite sure I like that comparison, as my art would be pretty unexciting.
