Acer Aspire One Tip...

I bought this laptop a few months back. It has been great other than a shutdown problem I had recently, which I can say most people couldn’t have figured out…but that has nothing to do with my tip…

If you happen to buy one of these netbooks, there is a great feature that synaptics adds to their mouse settings to help with the extremely small touchpad…just look under your control panel setting for the normal mouse options, then choose the advanced settings button. From there you can choose all sorts of settings, but this one in particular is called ‘coasting’. You can adjust it on how long it coasts and/or if you want it to bounce off the edge of your screen.
It saves me a ton of time since I turned it on. It’s like using the old trackball on the laptops in the late 80’s/early 90’s…

Anyway…that’s it for the fellow Aspire One owners out there.

P.S. If you do run into a problem with your Aspire One shutting down like 30 seconds after you start it, no matter what. Just do a system restore in Safe Mode, to at least a checkpoint 30 days before, Don’t waste your time with a BIOS flash update like I did, though, it wouldn’t hurt…
